Subject: WTC Rebuilding #525:Time for More Action...


Tal Barzilai and Margaret Donovan went to the Spitzer barbecue and
at least tried to engage him with pro-rebuilding issues.There doesn't
seem much response and that wasn't much of a representation for our
movement,but circumstances where attendance doesn't require a campaign
contribution of $100 or more might be more conducive to our getting
people there.

Keep your eyes peeled for public hearing announcements on the tower
proposed just south of the site for J.P. Morgan Chase.

The Twin Towers Alliance is doing a press release today and wants
its Rapid Response Team of registered Digg-ers to jump on it...if
you aren't a part of this and want to be,sign up via
support@twintowersalliance.com PRONTO.
(They're also taking donations for radio and other ad campaigns).

Meanwhile,the previously-mentioned restaurant supposedly established
by and for surviving Windows on the World employees is being sued by
surviving Windows on the World employees...

At the WTC site,remains of victims are still being found,
but Bloomberg remains in construction-full-speed-ahead mode
and is standing firm on moving the anniversary ceremony:

The place he wants to hold it is where we held a rally in the
past,catercorner southeast from the site.If they'll be there that
day,we can't...but I'm asking the list...who's interested in
attending a rally in Lower Manhattan in the next couple of months
to demonstrate that the movement has not disappeared,and won't?

This would be under WTCRM auspices as no other groups are currently
involved...of course we support other pro-rebuilding efforts ongoing,
such as mentioned above.

We may not see eye to eye with the family groups but the more people
are upset with the government pushing the bad plans ahead the weaker
that government and those plans are.

Churchill stating aims against Hitler in 1941:
"Nothing is more sure than that every trace of Hitler's footsteps,
every touch of his corrupt and corroded finger,shall be wiped,
and if necessary blasted,from the surface of the earth."

Daniel Libeskind proposed to use the work of Osama bin Laden to
shape the future of the WTC site,and George Pataki,having promised
"we will never build where the Towers stood",applauded.

We can not let the hand of Osama be the eternal decision-maker
on whether Towers stand where they stood!
